Uyghur Dictionaries

Studying Uyghur, I have come across a number of dictionaries. Here are some that I have checked out and my thoughts about each one:

www.uighurdictionary.com
This one is pretty good. You can use it to search both English or Uyghur words. For Uyghur, you can search in both Arabic script and Latin script. I also like that if you search in Arabic script, it will convert the word into Latin script. Using this dictionary, I have found some mistakes in the Latin script spelling so just be careful.

An Uyghur-English Dictionary (Henry G. Schwarz, Western Washington University)
This is a quite comprehensive dictionary. I am grateful that it is offered as a free download. One big caveat or downside is that it does not give the Arabic script. Furthermore the Latin script is based on a different convention, so if you are searching for a Uyghur word it makes it slightly more cumbersome. For reference, here are the corresponding letters:
Schwarz => Uyghur Latin Alphabet
ä => e
q => ch
h => x
ⱨ => h
θ = ö
x => sh
ⱬ => zh
ⱪ => q
e => é
g̃ => gh

Glosbe Uyghur-English Dictionary
This is a decent dictionary. I like that it gives sample sentences, but I find it to be not as comprehensive.

Google Translate
Not quite the same as a dictionary, but still useful to double-check words.

Dictionaries in other languages - If you are able to read other languages (or are comfortable translating from other languages) here are a few I recommend:

维吾尔语常用5000词 (Uyghur 5000 Common Words)
From Gene Bunin's website. One drawback is that it appears that this PDF is non-searchable.

Уйгурско-Русский Словарь (Uyghur-Russian Dictionary)
From Gene Bunin's website. Quite comprehensive but also appears that this PDF is non-searchable.

現代ウイグル語小辞典 (Modern Uyghur Dictionary)
From Elkitab.org. Nice that this PDF is searchable.
